Spotting stars around the (Metro) Detroit area

What was a hope has not turned into a reality. The 42% tax rebate for films/shows shot in Michigan is turning out to be a huge success. Hundreds of people have come to the area to set-up, scout and shoot. Of the films that have already started shooting in the area are Clint Eastwoods Gran Torino and Drew Barrymore's Whip It.

Now, we admit. We think it's fricken' awesome to have stars roaming our streets. So we want to know what streets they are roaming!

Eastwood shot some scenes for Gran Torino at a home in Grosse Pointe Shores. We waited for a while to catch a glimpse of him. He finally showed up and was great with the crowd!

A ton of people are googling "Drew Barrymore Necto", so we did some digging. Apparently she and Eve were partying at the Necto in Ann Arbor on Friday, July 18th. Please send us pics or post more information if you have some!

Camera crews and Eastwood were filming in Royal Oak at Main & 11 mile two weeks ago behind a church. Last week there were camera crews and a bunch of people at Andiamo in downtown RO. It looked like they were setting up to film. I also heard that Drew Barrymore's movie is being filmed in Ann Arbor. Keep posting if anyone knows any more information! This is great for the state!

i saw a hugeee camera crew above an intersection about 3 weeks ago on i-96 and middlebelt...it looked as if the whole intersection was shut down and i saw cameras everywhere
